  • Sharing best practices as part of a Solutions for a Net-Zero Economy Thought Leaders Interview Series
  • Producing a new video that tells the story of BCSE’s three decades of leadership on behalf of clean energy and energy efficiency industries

BCSE’s History and Impact

Throughout 2022, BCSE took its clean energy and energy efficiency solutions on the road with a series of events that tackles today’s most pressing challenges – from climate change to energy security – and how the coalition represents Solutions for a Net-Zero Economy.

At the Global Clean Energy Action Forum in Pittsburgh, PA, in September, BCSE hosted two side events discussing building decarbonization and community, engagement, respectively. Read about BCSE’s takeaways from the inaugural GCEAF conference.

In November, BCSE led a delegation to COP 27 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, where the coalition hosted several panels, including official UNFCCC side events and an event at the U.S. Pavilion. Learn more about BCSE’s activities at COP 27.

BCSE also hosted its 2022 Annual Membership Meeting in October. Through member updates, an expert panel, and a line-up of speakers from Congress and the Biden Administration, members came together to discuss key policy priorities and learn about what’s next for the clean energy transition. The Annual Membership Meeting was followed by an evening reception celebrating BCSE’s 30th anniversary.

Future Climate Leaders Scholarship

BCSE has sponsored an Environmental and Energy Study Institute (EESI) Future Climate Leaders Scholarship to foster the next generation of clean energy innovators. The scholarship awards up to $5,000 each academic year to an undergraduate student pursuing studies relevant to environmental, clean energy, and climate policy at a historically-Black college or university (HBCU) in the mid-Atlantic or southern region.
