Last week, GTI Energy Executive Director Zane McDonald joined the Hydrogen Innovation Summit at the Climate Action Innovation Zone alongside COP 29 to discuss hydrogen infrastructure, investment strategies, and the transition to a resilient, decarbonized economy. McDonald shared progress on GTI’s Net Zero Infrastructure Program, an effort to transform today’s natural gas infrastructure into a low-carbon powerhouse – exploring hydrogen, renewable natural gas, and carbon storage to meet the real-world needs of decarbonization.
“In a season of volatility, anchoring climate discussions in the priorities of readiness and prosperity help to ensure durable progress on decarbonization,” writes McDonald. “Framing decarbonization within the context of broader priorities – such as economic resilience and workforce readiness – can empower support across sectors and inspire the partnerships and investments required to deploy hydrogen at scale.”
