BCSE hosted its annual clean energy industry dinner at COP 29 at the beautiful Hill Restaurant on Friday, November 15 to toast to the end of the conference’s first week. The event kicked off with a reception co-hosted by CRES Forum with special guests from the Conservative Climate Foundation delegation. The dinner featured remarks by Geoffrey Pyatt, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources and Trigg Talley, Director, Office of Global Change and Lead COP 29 Negotiator on the state of the UNFCCC negotiations and opportunities for business participation.
Attendees also heard remarks from energy efficiency and renewable energy leaders on partnering across industries to achieve energy transition goals – with speakers from the Global Renewables Alliance, Solar Energy Industries Association, Alliance to Save Energy, and International Copper Association. The BCSE delegation was thrilled to be joined by colleagues from the GCF, NATO, CEBRI (Brazil), WindEurope, UN Climate Champions, UNFCCC Secretariat, and more.
