Advocacy Areas
IRA/IIJA Implementation
A key focus of BCSE’s current policy advocacy is support for the energy efficiency and clean energy incentives included in the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the Inflation Reduction Act. These landmark pieces of legislation put the United States on a path to achieving significant greenhouse gas emission reductions with strong and long-term federal policy support.
Energy Advocacy
BCSE works to ensure that policies, regulations, and public programs create durable markets and drive demand for a broad portfolio of sustainable energy technologies, products, and services. This work highlights how the energy efficiency, natural gas, and renewable energy sectors work together to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve air quality, stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and make the United States more globally competitive.
Climate Advocacy
BCSE calls for increased ambition and action to address climate change in the United States and around the world. Our coalition advocates for deploying existing technology solutions to meet emission reduction goals and enhance resilience against increasing climate impacts.
Infrastructure Advocacy
To lead in the 21st century, America needs a modern energy system. Transformative investments in our infrastructure are required to ensure the progress of the energy transition and to strengthen the resilience of our communities against future climate and economic disruptions.
