BCSE, the U.S. Department of Commerce, and The Atlantic Council convened a roundtable discussion on Dec. 8 on driving thought leadership and gender considerations in project development and financing. Moderated by Lauren Hughes of The Atlantic Council, the roundtable featured opening remarks from Marissa Lago, Undersecretary for International Trade, U.S. Department of Commerce and Vickie Gunderson, Director, Office of Climate and Environment, U.S. Department of Treasury. Participants shared success stories and strategies for encouraging more women to enter into STEM and the clean energy workforce, such as employers providing on-site childcare and supporting first-generation professionals and female veterans.
