White House FY2023 Budget Request Provides Critical Investments in Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency

Washington, D.C. – President Biden released his FY2023 budget request today and proposed significant increases in funding for clean energy and energy efficiency programs at the U.S. Department of Energy.  In response, BCSE President Lisa Jacobson commented:

“Clean energy businesses are pleased to see the President propose these funding increases for clean energy and energy efficiency programs at the Department of Energy.

“If enacted, this budgetary signal, along with legislative proposals currently under consideration in Congress, would significantly accelerate the deployment of clean energy and energy efficiency solutions across the country. By doing so, communities would benefit from improved air quality and reduced greenhouse gas emissions, increased resilience of homes and critical infrastructure and economic growth through local investment and job creation.”
