Enchanted Rock, LLC and Metrus Energy Join the Business Council for Sustainable Energy

Washington, D.C. – The Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to its coalition: Enchanted Rock, LLC, a national leader in electrical resiliency-as-a-service, and Metrus Energy, a full-service specialty finance company dedicated to making climate-positive investments in the built environment.

“We are excited to have both Enchanted Rock, LLC and Metrus Energy join our coalition’s advocacy efforts to advance the progress of the energy transition and climate action in the United States,” said Lisa Jacobson, President of the Business Council for Sustainable Energy.

Both companies come to the Business Council for Sustainable Energy with innovative approaches to technology and finance that are building the energy economy our country needs as we face the increasingly more costly challenges of both climate change mitigation and adaptation.

“Enchanted Rock is seeing businesses shift their priorities in response to climate change. Resiliency, as well as the call for decarbonization, will require stronger collaboration across industries. We look forward to continuing our commitment to strengthening the electrical resiliency of critical infrastructure and local communities by working with the Business Council for Sustainable Energy to advocate for policies in these areas,” said Allan Schurr, Chief Commercial Officer of Enchanted Rock.

“The global transition to a low-carbon future is underway and requires massive private investment to effect meaningful climate action. As an Energy as a Service provider, we view the Business Council for Sustainable Energy’s leadership and efforts to expand the use of clean energy technologies, products and services as essential to incentivize greater sustainability investments within the built environment, both in the U.S. and globally,” said Bob Hinkle, President and CEO of Metrus Energy.

Emily Duncan, BCSE Chairman of the Board and Vice President, Government Relations for National Grid US, commented: “It is fantastic to have Enchanted Rock and Metrus Energy as new partners in the BCSE’s efforts to advocate for accelerated uptake of sustainable energy solutions in our communities, and to work with our leaders in Congress and the Administration to secure our energy future.”
