Washington, D.C. – The Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) is pleased to announce the companies and trade associations that joined BCSE’s coalition in 2024, including Air Products, Emerson, IHI Americas, Koloma, the Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES) Council, NET Power, STX Group, and Viridi Edge.
“U.S. businesses are committed to meeting our nation’s growing energy needs, and this is made evident by our expanding business coalition of clean, affordable and reliable energy solutions,” said Lisa Jacobson, President of the Business Council for Sustainable Energy. “Our new members are companies that represent emerging segments of the U.S. energy economy, including hydrogen, carbon capture and storage and long-duration energy storage. These members will bring important new views to our advocacy efforts and expand the market impact of the coalition.”
“It is fantastic to have new partners in BCSE’s efforts to advocate for accelerated uptake of sustainable energy solutions in our communities and to work with our leaders in Congress and the Administration to achieve a secure and competitive economy,” said Allison Hull, Chair of the BCSE Board of Directors. “BCSE’s growing coalition continues to serve as a practical business voice, calling for policies to expand access to energy supply, create new jobs, and do it in an affordable manner.”
“The clean energy transition is advancing, but we need to accelerate our efforts to scale and integrate renewable resources to effectively decarbonize our energy systems,” said Julia Souder, CEO of the LDES Council. “Long-duration energy storage technologies are essential for providing the flexibility and reliability that utilities, industries, governments, and communities require to achieve their sustainability objectives on the journey to net zero. We appreciate the leadership shown by the Business Council for Sustainable Energy and value our partnership as we work together to unlock the full potential of driving climate action.”
“The goals and aspirations of the Business Council for Sustainable Energy align with the values and decarbonization views of STX Group,” said Max van Meer, Managing Director, North America at STX Group. “Our long legacy in trading environmental commodities and providing climate solutions have made a real difference in the global transition towards low-carbon economy, ensuring that capital flows to thousands of projects that make the world a greener place. We are pleased to collaborate with other key industry players in the United States and around the world to promote the importance of green commodities.”
“Viridi Edge is thrilled to join BCSE and collaborate with such a forward-thinking coalition of leaders driving the clean energy transition,” said Reihaneh Irani-Famili, President and Founder of Viridi Edge. “This partnership reflects our commitment to innovation in the energy system and to creating a future where clean energy fuels the economic growth while maintaining our environmental stewardship on the global stage.”
