Washington, D.C. – Lisa Jacobson, President of the Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE), offered the following statement in response to the results of the 2024 presidential election:
“With election day over, BCSE and its industry leaders stand ready to continue to work on a bipartisan basis to support communities on the ground with clean, affordable, and resilient energy systems. As a broad-based business coalition, we will continue to advocate for the federal policies that support record level clean energy investment and jobs throughout the country and create a competitive, clean energy America.
“Thanks to private sector leadership and strong federal policies of recent years, the energy transition is now hard-wired into the U.S. economy. Clean energy businesses are bringing economic growth to the communities that need it most while onshoring manufacturing and creating new jobs. The resiliency of the sustainable energy sectors is clear and enduring, and BCSE looks forward to advancing future public-private partnerships to promote U.S. clean energy leadership.”
