Washington, D.C. – Lisa Jacobson, President of the Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE), offered the following statement in response to the U.S. Department of Energy’s announcement of the Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs (H2Hubs) Program awardees:
“As one of the many impactful clean energy policies funded by the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021, the Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs Program is an important milestone in building up the U.S. clean hydrogen industry and lowering emissions from hard-to-decarbonize sectors. Clean hydrogen is a critical tool in the broad portfolio of energy solutions our country needs to reduce carbon pollution, increase energy security, and create good-paying American jobs. BCSE is proud to support our members who will be involved with the H2Hubs, helping to boost the clean energy economy across America.”
