BCSE President Lisa Jacobson moderated a forum on November 30 titled “Engaging the Private Sector to Facilitate Decent Work and Quality Jobs in Low-GHG Emissions Sectors.” Organized by the UNFCCC Secretariat, and attended by governments and observers, this event featured a presentation by Peter Govindasamy, delegate from Singapore and Co-Chair of the Katowice Committee of Experts on the Implementation of Response Measures (KCI) on the committee’s new report on private sector engagement in climate action, which called for an increase in public-private partnerships. Delegates representing India, Ghana, Colombia, the European Union, and more joined the discussion, contributing insights on private sector investment in their countries.
