Washington, D.C. – The Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) submitted recommendations to the House Committee on Ways and Means yesterday, urging policymakers to maintain key energy tax incentives in budget reconciliation legislation. These incentives are key to meeting growing energy demand and keeping energy prices low.
“Existing energy tax credits support the wide-scale deployment of energy solutions in the United States and are creating millions of jobs, bringing new manufacturing and supply chains onshore, and delivering billions of dollars in economic investment to American communities,” said BCSE President Lisa Jacobson. “BCSE supports policies that unleash our country’s affordable and reliable energy resources and provide for American prosperity.
“America needs a broad portfolio of energy solutions – including those in the energy efficiency, renewable energy, and natural gas sectors – to meet growing demand from domestic manufacturing, AI, data centers, and growing consumer and corporate energy use,” Jacobson added. “BCSE looks forward to working with Congress and the Trump Administration to explore opportunities to utilize tax policy as a market-based tool and create signals to invest in efficient and modern energy products and services.”
