Council Provides Specific Feedback to House and Senate on Upcoming Federal Climate Change Legislation
The Council submitted feedback on proposed legislation to the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources and the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. The comments advocated for increased deployment of clean energy technologies as the centerpiece of federal climate change legislation currently under consideration by both the Senate and House committees. The Council outlined their support for the enactment of federal climate change legislation that provides long-term market signals for clean energy deployment and energy efficiency and the importance of regulatory certainty and consistency to effectively tackle the challenge presented by global climate change.
