BCSE Welcomes Camille Moore, 2020 Jan Schori Summer Fellow
Washington, DC – The Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) welcomes Camille J. Moore as the 2020 Jan Schori Summer Fellow. Ms. Moore is a proud graduate of HBCU Oakwood University and Heinz College. She is a former Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Energy Fellow, staffer for Congressman Anthony G. Brown and policy advisor with the U.S. Helsinki Commission. Ms. Moore’s work for the Council will focus on the intersection of labor and sustainable energy.
BCSE President Lisa Jacobson said:
“Ms. Moore’s experience with workforce issues and federal policy will be invaluable to the BCSE this summer. With over 1 million American energy jobs lost since the beginning of the pandemic, labor issues are front and center for the industry. BCSE believes that energy efficiency, natural gas and renewable energy will play a vital role in economic recovery for people and communities across the country. The BCSE is working to ensure that the industry is positioned to return to the incredible growth demonstrated over the past decade, as evidenced in the 2020 Sustainable Energy in America Factbook."
The Jan Schori Fellowship was established in 2008 in honor of Ms. Schori, former BCSE Board Chair and former general manager and chief executive officer of the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD). Ms. Schori is currently of Counsel at Downy Brand in Sacramento, CA, and serves as an independent trustee on the North American Electric Reliability Council Board of Trustees and as a Board Member on the Climate Action Reserve.
