Washington, D.C. – The Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) is pleased to announce the addition of three new members to its coalition: CORE Electric Cooperative, the largest electric distribution cooperative in Colorado; Invenergy, a leading privately held, global developer and operator of sustainable energy solutions; and Nature Energy, a market leader in turning biomass into green, CO2-neutral gas as effectively as possible.
“We are excited to have CORE Electric Cooperative, Invenergy, and Nature Energy join our coalition’s advocacy efforts to advance the progress of the energy transition and climate action in the United States,” said Lisa Jacobson, President of the Business Council for Sustainable Energy.
Allison Hull, Chair of the BCSE Board commented: “We are thrilled to welcome CORE Electric Cooperative, Invenergy, and Nature Energy as new partners to work with our leaders in Congress and the Administration in securing our clean energy future. Our growing coalition will strengthen our efforts to advocate for accelerated uptake of sustainable energy solutions.”
Each of these companies comes to the BCSE with innovative approaches to technology, distribution, and generation and offer their customers solutions to the challenges of climate change, while bringing the economic development and jobs benefits to their communities.
“CORE joined the Business Council for Sustainable Energy to accelerate our path to becoming the cleanest, most reliable, most affordable electric company in Colorado,” said Jeff Baudier, CEO of CORE Electric Cooperative. “With the backing of BCSE’s market-based approach to clean energy policy advocacy, and our innovative partnership with Invenergy for 1.2 terawatt-hours of renewable energy per year beginning in 2026, CORE is positioned to deliver diverse, clean, and efficient energy without sacrificing affordability for our members.”
“Invenergy joined the Business Council for Sustainable Energy to connect with other organizations that share our vision,” said Jim Murphy, President and Corporate Business Leader at Invenergy. “This coalition brings together major corporations across the entire clean energy spectrum, and as a leading developer and operator of multiple clean energy systems, we look forward to joining forces for market-led solutions to build a sustainable world.”
“Nature Energy has always been a big believer in the importance of establishing public-private partnerships to help drive a more sustainable energy future,” said Alexis Glick, CEO of Nature Energy North America. “Our official induction into the Business Council for Sustainable Energy is a great example of that. We look forward to working with the BCSE coalition of member companies to help lead the green energy transition and become an active contributor alongside the industry’s most innovative leaders.”
