NCEW Event: Clean Energy Jobs Now and for the Future – A Workforce on the Rise
September 24, 2020 @ 9:15 am - 10:15 am$245
Clean energy jobs have been on a steady rise over the past decade, topping over 3.4 million jobs at the end of 2019. The business conditions under COVID-19 have impacted clean energy workers significantly, with nearly half-a-million people still unemployed.
Bringing back these jobs in clean energy sectors and creating new ones can be a critical part of our economic recovery. As demand for clean energy continues to grow, so will the need to have a capable and well-trained workforce – representative of the diversity of our customers.
In this webinar, clean energy executives will talk about their current and future workforce needs, challenges, and opportunities; workforce development and recruiting programs in use; and the broad range of jobs offered in the energy efficiency and renewable energy sectors.
This event is sponsored by the Business Council for Sustainable Energy and Clean Energy Business Network.

ABOUT NATIONAL CLEAN ENERGY WEEK
National Clean Energy Week (NCEW) is an annual awareness week to recognize the value of clean energy to America, including well-paying jobs across the country, economic growth, energy independence, consumer choice, lower energy prices, and a cleaner environment. This year #NCEW20 runs September 21-25, 2020.
NCEW’s flagship event – the Policy Makers Symposium, a unique, bipartisan event – will be presented virtually this year as it expands from a single day to a full week of programming.
To attend this 9/24 panel, paid registration is required for the entire week. See the full schedule for the Policy Makers Symposium and full week of events here.
