BCSE President Makes the Case for Clean Energy at
First Annual Climate Leadership Conference
BCSE President Lisa Jacobson is in Fort Lauderdale, Florida today delivering remarks at the First Annual Climate Leadership Conference, a gathering of leaders from business, government and academic institutions, and the non-profit community interested in exchanging ideas and information on how to address climate change while simultaneously running their operations more competitively and sustainably.
Ms. Jacobson's remarks profile the efforts of two BCSE members "walking the talk" as clean energy business leaders. Both companies are proving that investments in clean energy can make good business sense and help the bottom line:
- First Solar, a world leader in the manufacture of photovoltaic (PV) solar modules and a premier provider of comprehensive PV solar systems, is focused on enabling a world powered by clean, affordable solar electricity.
- Walmart, a global retailer in 27 countries and with 2.2 million employees worldwide, is committed to the idea that consumers and businesses should not have to choose between energy they can afford and energy that is good for the environment.
