BCSE Members Sponsor Solar Decathlon Teams

Starting today, September 22, and lasting through Sunday, October 2, Washington, DC's West Potomac Park will be home to the US Department of Energy's Solar Decathlon, a competition that challenges collegiate teams to design, build, and operate solar-powered houses that are cost-effective, energy-efficient, and attractive. The BCSE is proud to highlight five of its members who are sponsoring teams competing in the 2011 Solar Decathlon:

First Solar, sponsoring the enCORE house, built by the Ohio State University team.
Ingersoll Rand, sponsoring the INhome house, built by the Purdue University team.
Petra Solar, sponsoring the ENJOY house, built by team New Jersey, consisting of students from Rutgers University, the State University of New Jersey, and the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Johnson Controls and San Diego Gas & Electric, sponsoring the Re home house, built by the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign team.

The BCSE congratulates all the teams on their hard work and on the beautiful, solar-powered and energy-efficient homes they've designed and built.
