Starting this year, the Council has focused on clean energy grid integration issues as well as opportunities to expand and improve ancillary services markets. This new work has increased BCSE's engagement with state regulatory agencies through the auspices of the National Association of Regulatory Utilities Commissioners (NARUC).
As a broad-based business coalition working to advance clean energy deployment, the Council seeks the opportunity to share key issues, challenges and success stories with utility commissioners and to provide a value added networking opportunity for BCSE members who attend NARUC events.
To facilitate this work, BCSE hosted a breakfast meeting with utility commissioners on November 15 in conjunction with the NARUC Annual Meeting in St. Louis, Missouri. The breakfast was made possible with the support of several Council members, including EnerNOC, Qualcomm, and Walmart.
