BCSE Comments on FERC Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Transmission Issues
Washington, D.C. – Today, the Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) submitted comments to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on their Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking: Building for the Future Through Electric Regional Transmission Planning and Cost Allocation and Generator Interconnection.
“BCSE supports FERC taking action to address electric transmission planning, cost allocation and generator interconnection processes, and encourages FERC to approach this review process in a holistic manner,” said BCSE President Lisa Jacobson. “In light of the ongoing transformation of the energy industry, successful transmission planning processes will support system reliability and resilience, grid modernization and emissions reductions and other environmental objectives, and maintain the benefits of competitive markets.”
