BCSE Calls for Passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Package & Clean Energy Support in Reconciliation
Washington, D.C. – Today, the Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) sent a letter calling on Congress to pass the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and ensure that more clean energy and energy efficiency provisions move through the budget reconciliation process.
BCSE President Lisa Jacobson said:
“Congress has done admirable bipartisan work on an infrastructure package that lays the groundwork for the continued clean energy transition in America. Any delay in enacting these policies holds back business decisions that will create jobs, expand the economy and enhance our competitiveness in international markets. BCSE calls on Congress to see their work through on infrastructure as soon as possible.
“Congress can do more to ensure an affordable, equitable and resilient clean energy transition, and our coalition sees very productive measures under discussion for inclusion in budget reconciliation legislation. We offer our input on the most important provisions to include, as well as directions for further work, in this letter to congressional leaders.”
