BCSE Announces 2012 Jan Schori Summer Fellow

Washington, DC — The Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) proudly welcomed Tom Simchak to its offices this week as he began his work as the 2012 Jan Schori Summer Fellow. Mr. Simchak comes to the BCSE after his previous work at the Alliance to Save Energy where he conducted policy research and government relations activities related to a broad range of energy efficiency topics. He focused in particular on issues related to finance, tax incentives, and the smart grid. He is a native Washingtonian with degrees from Oberlin College in Ohio and Oxford University in the UK.

Mr. Simchak will be working with BCSE staff over the summer to support the Council’s state, regional, and federal policy programs.

The Jan Schori Summer Fellowship was established in 2008 to honor upon her retirement Jan Schori, former BCSE Board Chair and general manager and chief executive officer of the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD).
